Ignacio R. Perez, a long-time resident of Gainesville, GA passed away at the side of his beloved family on Saturday June 12, 2021, at the age of 79. Ignacio, better know as "Don Nacho" or "Perez" by the community was a devoted husband, father and grandfather to his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rosa Perez; his children, Ignacio Jr., Rosalinda, and Melissa; his two sisters, Mary Lou Davis & Maryann Estrada; and a handful of beloved grandchildren. Ignacio was bo in Big Wells, Texas on July 18, 1941, to Tomas Perez and Eloisa Rodriguez. Ignacio was a fan of any upbeat, good music you could dance to, and he enjoyed being surrounded by friends and family. He was a big fan of the Casino life - often traveling the east coast with his wife and grandchildren in search of a good gamble. Throughout his adult life he was an entrepreneur owning several businesses in Texas as well as here locally in Gainesville, Georgia until he retired from his personal businesses in 1997. After retiring from his entrepreneurships, he worked for the Kroger Company Overall, Ignacio lived a fun-filled, adventurous life and will be greatly missed by his family and those who knew him well. Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home in Gainesville, GA. Father Cong will officiate the religious service. Interment will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home from 10:00 am until the service hour on Saturday, June 19, 2021. Hillside Chapel Funeral Home & Cremation Services 1190 McEver Rd. Gainesville, GA is in charge of arrangements.
