Arthur Steven Harris

Arthur Steven Harris of Gainesville, Georgia passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the age of 70. He was born on October 4, 1951 in Atlanta and grew up in Smyrna. After a long career in IT, he retired as a senior project manager from?Haski Systems.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Susan McKee Harris, who was?the love of his life; his precious daughter, Collyn, son-in-law David Zielesch, and grandsons, Lucas and Logan Zielesch; his sisters Teresa Walden, Rebecca Morris (Alan Morris), and Lisa Stefkovich (Nick Stefkovich); in-laws Sam Kordares, Brad McKee, Alan and Terry McKee, and Vicki Hicks; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Wallace and Mary Elizabeth Harris, and sister, Debra Kordares.?

Arthur was a passionate fisherman and was a member of the Reef Club and a fly-fishing group. He loved building and flying remote-control model airplanes. He was a gifted musician and played with several bands. Even after he retired from playing professionally, Arthur could not resist drumming to the music on the steering wheel of his truck whenever he drove. Another of his hobbies was sharing favorite movies with friends and family in the home theater he had built.?

A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 11AM at Concord Baptist Church in Clermont, Georgia.
